Ranajit Bera is a doctoral scholar at Rekhi Centre of Excellence for the Science of Happiness, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Completing his Post-graduation in 2017 and M.Phil in 2018 from Ravenshaw University, he has research interests in the fields of Human geography, Population and Health Studies, Renewable energy, and Rural development. He has contributed to a DST-sponsored project entitled ‘SOCIALIZING THE MICRO-SOLAR DOME: Empowering Marginalized Rural Communities Through Solar Illumination and Solar Electricity’. His ongoing research focuses on issues related to market-policy-institution linkages for inclusive and sustainable development and social, economic and environmental implications in the renewable energy sector.
