Suhita is pursuing PhD at Rekhi Centre of Excellence for Science and Happiness, IIT Kharagpur, under the guidance of Prof Rajlakshmi Guha. Her research interests include affective neuroscience, emotion recognition, analysis of brain connectivity, implementation of deep learning, BCI. She obtained her M.Tech degree from the department of Intelligent Automation and Robotics at Jadavpur University in 2021. 

As part of her M.Tech thesis, she performed an EEG study on Phasmophobic patients based on brain connectivity analysis using convergent cross-mapping techniques. The proposed work got accepted in 25^th MIUA 2021 international conference, Oxford University and recently got published as a book chapter in Springer publication. She believes her prior experiences and a strong desire to further reinforce her skills in her research work can open up new direction in the field of research and also hopes to use it as foundation for a fruitful research career.
