After completing B.Sc (2012) and M.Sc (2014) in Economics from the University of Calcutta, Baishali has completed her M.Phil degree (2018) in Development Studies with a specialization in Sociology. Her dissertation was on ‘Gender and Labour in Tribal Household: A Study in Jhargram District, West Bengal’. She has qualified State Level Eligibility Test, Assam (NE Region) 2018 in Economics. She pursued a career as a development practitioner for more than 5 years in reputed national Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs). Along with her theoretical knowledge, her work as Research Assistant and Monitoring and Documentation Officer in various projects gave her field experience and scope of exploring interdisciplinary studies.
